NF-Tinman 2 #1 Posted October 18, 2010 Hey Guys' NF- Tinman here lookin for a little info here. I may possibly have a dozer/snow blade available for purchase for my 1995 520-H and I have been told by a Toro dealer that I will need the extension kit because of the my tractor length and the blade width which is 48 inches. I am not sure if the seller has the extension kit on the blade already as it came off his 417-8. Looking for a little guidance here for a rookie. Thanks in advance[WHEELHORSE RULES!!!! :)
Sparky-(Admin) 21,505 #2 Posted October 19, 2010 If you have the forward swept front axle( you should) you will need the extender. Mike..........
SgtBob 27 #3 Posted October 19, 2010 The 417-8 would not have needed the extension kit for the snow plow but your 520 will. The extension kit actually consist of three pieces. I have an extra kit I would sell for $200 plus shipping if you cant find one somewhere else. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,362 #4 Posted October 19, 2010 The set up that Bob is offering is hard to find as a complete kit. The swept forward axle is why you need it not the length of the frame. If you do not have it the tires will hit the plow and you cannot angle it.

kajamo240 3 #6 Posted October 19, 2010 I need to do that to my angle handle. I think that might be one of my projects once I get my welder.
