B-8074 19 #1 Posted October 8, 2010 I have a C-175 and from what I've researched the c-175 & 195 share the same Eaton pump. I would like to run hydro lines to the front and back with quick connects. Can the unit support that or would I need to add another pump? Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm not looking to run a FEL just a few cyliders.
kpinnc 12,443 #2 Posted October 8, 2010 If you're running small low-pressure/ low volume (700 PSI-ish) cylinders, you'll be fine. Just be careful that you keep the quick connects clean or at least filter BOTH returns. The Eatons don't stand up to even the slightest contamination for very long, and they are expensive to replace if you can even find one. The C195 uses multiple cylinders if they are equipped with a 3-point hitch anyway, as well as the D160/180/200. The D used a Sundstrand pump, but the charge pumps have similar spec for both types of transmissions. Point being- you'll be fine with multiple cylinders as long as they stay small. Larger, high volume cylinders will still work- but they will run so slow it won't be worth using them, and they won't have nearly as much power. Good luck! B-8074 19 #3 Posted October 13, 2010 I was looking at the tractor today and I assume all I need to do is change the control valve? And does anyone have a suggestion were to get one? I've looked around and haven't found any with a release valve pressure lower than 1000psi.
wallfish 17,079 #4 Posted October 13, 2010 You could always use an external relief valve if needed, https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item...tname=hydraulic Control valves aren't cheap. Surplus Center was the least expensive when I was shopping for hydraulic components. https://www.surpluscenter.com/hydraulic.asp...tname=hydraulic Depending on what your needs are it may be cheaper to use selector valves, $60 each, and just use the existing controls. What are you looking to do? 1 cylinder front and back or multiple cylinders?
B-8074 19 #5 Posted October 13, 2010 Yea, I want to add 2 cylinders. One up front and one in the back. I'm going to make a front bucket similar to a johnny bucket. I want to control the dump feature. In the back for a 3 point setup.
wallfish 17,079 #6 Posted October 14, 2010 Actually, this one isn't too bad for price. Plus it has a power beyond port. Put this one first inline from the pump and feed your existing valve with the Pbyd port. https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item...tname=hydraulic
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,351 #7 Posted October 14, 2010 John, That is the valve that I purchased for the auto 18. Great set up however I needed to add more lines and Tee off the power beyond back to the return line. It is a good dual spool valve and has float as well.
