Terry, what's the practical advantage of pressed-in studs over the Grade 8 bolt method? Not being critical, just curious?

There isn't any advantage unless you already have the wheel studs.

They are definitely a 'fix' for stripped hub threads though.

The "fix" is a great example when studs would be preferred.

Right not, no stripped hubs, stickin' with 7/16-20 x 1-1/2" bolts with a small flat washer.

Why take the chance of damaging a good hub?

Just finished my 2nd 400 WH hubs. Nice, easy enough to change tires.
