formariz 11,987 #51 Posted September 22, 2010 This one started as a regular restoration until I came across this engine. Then I just decided to do whatever came to mind to improve it and make it a fun reliable tractor to pull a wagon and go for long trail rides without worrying about scratching it. I am a wood fabricator not a metal fabricator so I kind of just make things work and fit within my capabilities with materials close at hand. Motor was moved forward so everything associated with it such, as generator, regulator, and coil are still attached to motor and accessible without removing hood. Fuel pump installed to avoid the hassle of fuel starvation when tank goes below 2/3 full. It is switched at start with ignition but also switched through ground wire. It allows fuel through it by gravity also so with a full tank I just switch it off and give the charger a break. In my vast supply of HL-5 lights I had some with mounting studs on the back of unit rather than at the bottom so I mounted those on the axle. Soon it will have an 85Lbs hood weight and Swamp Rat decals.

Kelly 1,029 #53 Posted September 22, 2010 Kelly, Sure looks like either a B-100 decal on a B-80, or a B-80 power plant on your B-100. Hmmm? Great looking rig though. Bob You caught me, I built that tractor for my 9 year old son, the tractor was a $25 pile with a broken rod in the 10hp, I needed a hydro so he could drive it, and I had a good running 8hp so I used B-80 parts to do the swap, I was doing just a quick clean up and paint but I'm a bodyman and one thing lead to another, and you see what happened, now he wants to build the 10hp and put it back in. This is what we started with and this is the start of the black hood, another $25 tractor, started as a C-85 but engine and just about everything was seized up. stevasaurus 22,683 #60 Posted September 22, 2010 Hey Steve is that Galaxy the same year as your 1057???? Real nice shape . Also what would that get for mpg??? Gary B.. The Ford is a 1964 and the horse is actually a 1967 (857). She gets a solid 20 mpg with the 223 ci six cylinder. I will be hauling either the 502 or the 702 to Charlott next year with the ford. Great thread Bud..... Lots of eye candy. :)
Buzz 502 #61 Posted September 22, 2010 Wheel Horse transmission and assorted parts. Has no practical use as far as I can tell, but it's neat looking and fun to drive. Built by John Fisher's brother-in-law.

Suburban 550 28 #65 Posted September 23, 2010 Since Bud posted his "Kriminal" 854", one of his favorites, I figured I post mine. By no means is this a beauty queen, but this 753-854 combo (an e-bay parts tractor purchase) turned out to be one of my favorite workers.

I need one for my Cushman 3 wheeler. I have had problems with the electric replacement and they are pricey enough I don't know what kind to try next.
