Saved this one from the junk yard.

This 312 belonged to a friends grand father that had passed on. It had set for a couple years and he and his father were taking it the the junck pile. It was mixed in with a whole trailer load of stuff. He called out of the blue and asked if I wanted it. Why sure! Thus it got shoved off the trialer in my front yard. It was ruff and not running. Rat nests, wiring chewed up, trans full of water...ect. but the engine was not llocked up. I did a refurbish rather than a down to the frame restore. Tryed to keep the cost down. I only replaced the wore out components. It turned out allright and Its my primary mowing machine now. A new ignition module and carb cleaning was all the old magnum 12 needed. I had fun on this project. It's a keeper with a story behind it. I think that's the way his grand father would have wanted it. I'll try the photobucket thing.

Way too good of a tractor to go to the scrap heap. It amazes me what some people will throw away. They would probaly think a new Home Depot John Deere or Cub Cadet is a better machine when it certainly isn't.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. Mian Dad, the lift came from a local factory that shut down a wile back. My neigbor worked there and told me they were going to auction off some items. When he told me about the lift I had to have it. $75 and it was mine. It runs on houshold current with a hydralic pump. Its just the right size for :) work. I think its rated at 1000lbs. Its made by a company called Presto. I have a hole patern drilled in the top so I can run treaded rod thru the top and into the frame holes to keep things stable. Sorry there's not any more. But I have seen them at other factories. It's a great find, but sad to think of the place shutten down.
