Anglo Traction 761 #1 Posted September 6, 2010 Hi to all, good Forum you have here. Yes!, another 'Limey's got mits on a little Red Beast. Felt sorry for it when I found it, and didn't realise then how much of an Icon these are. Not to mention the wealth of available information and records for them. Found it in 2008 derelict for 16 years in a collapsed outbuilding belonging to an elderly lady. She purchased it new in April 1972. I bought it from her, and finally got home in Nov 2009. Engine only needed internal clean and replaced the Valves, points n condenser. the Bore is in very good condition. Some Tractor parts replaced. Anyway, may not be the right forum, so I'll post some 'Before and Now' pics. when I get my head around the 'Site Tech'. Regards, Richard.
HankB 16 #2 Posted September 6, 2010 :) (in case no one has mentioned that yet.) Yes, pictures are a requirement! We never get tired of looking at what others have. Good to hear that the restoration is off to such a good start! (Or have you finished it already?) best, hank

Anglo Traction 761 #14 Posted September 11, 2010 :) all for the welcome. I do have some finishing jobs to do, primarily some decals and clear coating and freeing off the seized(frozen) Rear Hitch Pin, but I drive it around a couple of times a week to splash the oil around (internally). I have no attachments for it yet, but will start looking next spring when I have more time, money and space in the workshop. I may ask for some help if I can't find the answers in the many Posts on your Forum(s). Thanks. Regards. Richard.

meadowfield 2,651 #22 Posted September 14, 2010 wow! I have something to apsire to. Did you track down a wheelhorse / Toro red or just use something that matches. Looks fantastic! mark (up north in yorkshire).
Anglo Traction 761 #23 Posted September 14, 2010 Hi Mark, I looked for a match using a buffed up painted part that had not been exposed to direct sunlight. I found Ford Raidiant Red to be just a tad lighter, knowing that the colour red is notorious for fading, and so would reflect the age of the Tractor. all main panels were grit blasted, powder coated black, blended, red primered, painted and clear coated with loads of prep in between. Wheel Colour is Ford Diamond white. Pics don't do justice, but shines like glass. And I'm going to work it, not wrap it in cotton wool. Thanks all again for the welcome. P.s ....I used Spray Cans !.
