rydogg 186 #1 Posted August 29, 2010 I know it's a few months away and not something we want to start thinking about but I am trying to find out some information on a snow thrower for my 653 or 753. I can't find any pictures of them in the implements/attachments section.....does anyone have a picture of one? Are they hard to find? What can I expect to pay and what should I be looking for if I do find one? How do they attach? Your help is appreciated.... Thank you Ryan
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #2 Posted August 29, 2010 They look like a "normal" thrower, except they have the drive belt engagement apparatus on them too. Something like this: Here's one mounted on an 876: The first generation (harder to find & more contrary - but they work well):
W9JAB 156 #3 Posted August 30, 2010 :) Is the belt drive on the shoot. O.E.M. or you idea? I like it. :USA:
buckeye 3 #4 Posted August 30, 2010 that belt idea is a good one, instead of messing around with that petty cable. :)
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #5 Posted August 30, 2010 The V belt for rotating the chute was used up until 1963/64, I believe. They worked, but they slipped when wet or icy.
