wh310-8 0 #1 Posted August 1, 2010 Hi,I am Mark from Brownsburg,Indiana.I grew up my whole life cutting grass on my dad or grandpas 855's.While I was away in the Army, grandpas wheel horse was stoled from his garage. He bought a dynamark and hated the thing. So in 1990 he went and purchased a new 310-8.After his passing at the age of 97,it belongs to me now.Little did I know at the time how that one tractor would change me.It brought back alot of good memories of my younger days.Since my dads 855 was given to him by his dad,the was no way I was getting it.I remembered my great grandfathers 856 was still sitting in a barn lot.Asked my great uncle if I could have it to restore and he said yes! The thing is in bad shape due to sitting outside for 25+ years.I have my work cut out for me.I have the 856 torn down and ready to sand blast soon.So far the only real problem I see is tool box area and area around shifter badly rusted out.Have a buddy that owns a body shop that can hopefully help on sheetmetal.Anyway, this is a great site and looking forward to sharing some pictures in the near future of my progress.
