marshman 0 #26 Posted April 2, 2008 it has to be a b 80? as the engine has a bigger gap from the bonnet
nylyon-(Admin) 7,432 #27 Posted April 2, 2008 Well, if I recall the UK versions are built in Belgium and may be named differently. See this thread for an example http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1166 Maybe our B80 is your Commando like in the above post.
marshman 0 #28 Posted April 2, 2008 Mabey, but over her the model number on it is comming up as a b 80. After looking at some other commando 800 pictures i found that the bonnet decal on mine matches the B 80 and the decal on the fuel tank cover isnt a normal commando 800 one, I think that is must be a B 80 with commando decals on? When you say about the vertrical engine do you mean from the pully to the deck drive because doesnt go through the bottam of the frame it goes down to anought pully that directs it to the deck. Hope you understand what i mean. Ta
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,539 #29 Posted April 2, 2008 What you have is called a horizontal shaft engine, not vertical. Vertical shaft means the crankshaft is vertical, running up and down. There would be a pulley then on the bottom of the engine to run belts, etc. You have the horizontal shaft, or side shaft as some called it, meaning the crank is horizontal with the pulleys on the right side driving the belts.
