dgjks6 6 #1 Posted July 21, 2010 So I have been bored at work and playing on photobucket. I edited some pictures and have decided to post how to rebuild an 8 spd trans - mostly for my future reference. The manual is great, but a lot of the pics were blurry so I decided to make may own. Enjoy, and this may take a few days to get the entire post complete. This is an edit of this post but I think a picture of our final goal should be first. This is only going to be a description of the steps for the inside gears. The instruction manual which you can download is pretty clear for the rest. Oh yeah, I put a glob of grease on the end of eveything before I put it back in. Not sure if this is the correct thing to do, but made the assembly easier. more to come... dgjks6 6 #9 Posted July 22, 2010 This completes the installation of the gears inside the transmission. For here, just put in the differential, test, seal, add fluid, test, install detent plug, install pulleys, install handles, test, and put back on tractor. Let me know if you think pics of those steps are needed. I got a lot of pics.
