primerk5 1 #1 Posted July 16, 2010 I picked up a 753 a few weeks ago and I need to get an air filter for it. There wasn't one on it and I'm not sure what the size is supposed to be. The metal cover was there. Does anyone have a number for this filter that I could take to my local parts store to get a filter cross referenced. I crossed the Kohler number to WIX and got 42374. I went back now and looked up the dimensions and found it is 2.340" tall, just like the NAPA filter. Sorry - my mistake. I have never worked in a parts store, but I do know that the tall filter won't work in a 753 without extending the air cleaner stud and cutting a big hole in the grille. squonk 42,534 #12 Posted July 17, 2010 2373 was the most common " Kohler" filter we sold. Fit many Cub Cadets. Sold more 2374's for air compressors than anything else. In fact I got about 25 of them in the plant I operate now. We sold very few tall filters. So few I never memorized the number. We have them in 6 Co-Generation units.
