clintonnut 126 #51 Posted July 8, 2010 P.S. Wheel Horses love Steak and Shake ! I love those restaurants. We need more out east! I am more of a collector than anything. I do work my horses but make sure the value of them doesn't decrease over time! Charlie

Butch 194 #53 Posted July 8, 2010 I myself am not a collector but I do own one. Butch, are you a collector now that you have that super nice C175 Rick Nope! I'm an investor!! Kens son was sad to see the tractor leave so I can see the possibility of one day me returning it to him. Is it true that you had bought some of your NOS from that area? Butch S. Butch 194 #54 Posted July 8, 2010 Nah, I bought it to give me something to ride around on at the show! I don't even know why I bought it. It did catch my eye. But I sure wasn't in the market for one. Butch S. Jersey

DMK855 15 #56 Posted July 8, 2010 I think there needs to be one more division. If you have two I think we should call it "Breeder". Like rabbits, more a sure to follow. So true Mike!! Brought home 2 in November and 8 months later I have 6!! So I would think that now makes me a collector!! And yes, I did miss the RS Group Pic, but I was at the show!! Redbird 1 #57 Posted July 8, 2010 O boy here we go again Ok lets say I collect wheel horses and not all the time but once in a blue moon I sell one or two now what are you calling me ?????????????? I would call that a wise collector, one who collects tractors but buys and sells a couple to get some parts or a nicer tractor or to make an extra buck to spend on the collection,Rick Rick, You hit it on the head........ And that would be David...KJ4KICKS and SYSCO know what I'm talking about Birdie :D

stevasaurus 22,713 #60 Posted July 11, 2010 Actually, after reading this thread again and thinking about it. I am neither a collector nor an investor. I now consider myself a Wheel Horse magnet, I am just attracted to them. Maybe that is the best way to characterize the addiction. :D

SAM58 30 #63 Posted July 21, 2010 It is an addiction.... I have one 72 Raider 12, it went down after 38 years of service to my family. went to the Pa show for a tranny, came back with a tranny & a 1998 314-8. going today or tomorrow to pick up a 416-8 about a hour away... where does it stop? Less that a month i have went form one to three. now i have a problem of where to store them. Good deals are hard to pass on. Just think, they are not made anymore, so what is out there is all there is...

Brrly1 1,146 #68 Posted July 24, 2010 How many GT14's do I have to own or even the 57 rj's have to be in the garage? Kind of curious what needs to be kept in storage before I can be counted as a collector? If I own more than one does that count? Personally I think anyone that enjoys what he or she is doing with these fine tractors would be counted no matter what. Collector, Investor, or just plain enjoying themselves out raking leafs planting gardens, mowing grass, cutting weeds just plain doesn't matter. Enjoy yourself because these tractors will out live us all. See ya, Bye Burly :D
