Iggy68 28 #1 Posted June 28, 2010 I was working on the 953 Saturday, I was adjusting the brake to the idler puller. I had the tracter running and shut it off to make some adjustments. Went to start her up again and nothing, absolutely nothing. I have the lights wired so they can be turned on without the key being on. I flipped the switch and all I got was a dim glow. I THINK i have narrowed it down to a bad switch or the push button starter switch. If I hook a battery charger up it trips the safety breaker inside the charger. Something seems to grounded out. If it isn't either one of the switches, besides a bare wire, could the starter or regulator cause the same type of short?
WH nut 553 #2 Posted June 28, 2010 It sure could, start unhooking wires untile it doesnt trip the charger and you will know what it is
rickv1957 72 #3 Posted June 29, 2010 Regulater could possibly stick, but a bare wire or one hooked up wrong also would do it,Rick
