A BIG THANK YOU

The 2010 12th Annual Wheel Horse Show was a great success thanks to all of you who attended !

I did enjoy meeting many of the new faces (and seeing your Wheel Horses) of the Red Square forum. It is my estimation that there was over 600 Wheel Horses attending and the tractor parade on friday was timed at 2 hours long .......... and around 450 gallons of gas burned during the friday cruise night !

Today I had found out that the BIG John Deere garden tractor show had a whopping 125 tractors at their show . :D

P.S. Bud (horsefeathers) I have already talked with Lawn and Garden Collector Magazine about the picture of your tractor.

Thanks Y'all

Wild Bill

BP I don't know how you stood in that blistering heat so long especially with long pants, long sleeve shirt and no hat. That was some brutal heat. Well I guess Friday you had a rare pair of white pants on and they don't absorb the heat.

Thanks so much Wild Bill! It was a pleasure meeting you, your enthusiasm inspires many people, myself included. This was my first Big Show but it certainly won't be my last! My 8 yr. old son Cole still giggles when we ask him if he had fun at the show. I'm already planning a build to bring next yr.

I was in total awe of the Friday night cruise. Seriously, we are all so lucky to be able to have this much fun! A big thanks to everyone involved in putting on this show, it truly is a very special event.

I'm in agreeance, thanks for the show again this year. Although I came mostly as a spectator with my wife and kids in tow, it's great to meet the new faces of RS and reconnect with the other ones I had met last year. Some really neat tractors this year.

Bill,

What I remember most about you from this weekend is not the white pants but this...

"We just turn on that oldies music and we don't have to tell them what to do they know what to do" .... you were right.

Great time again-thanks !!!

Great Show Wild Bill! Glad to get to see some old friends and meet some new ones.

I think that the WHCC should find someone local with an airplane or helicopter and take an overhead picture, would that look awesome or what!!!!

Look forward to next year and the feature tractor!

One question Bill. How is the featured tractor selected every year. I know they've got the selection out to 2012, and appropriately will not disclose the 2012 model, but how is it actually selected from year to year?

Bill ,this was our 2nd yr for David & I AND it was definitely as great  The whole WHCC club does a phenomenal job putting on that show! I also really enjoyed taking Kaden for a ride in my cart along with David's forman's son. Both The boys were wonderfully behaved and I know it gave Flo a bit of a break, too :thanks:

I guess now, I'll have to rope a C-195 for next year :D

Oh yeah--now you gotta watch out for David and that '67 Lawn Ranger that he got on Friday. Had it up and running in about an hour of buying it!!!!

:D

Mike,

Yes some thought does go into the chosing of the featured Wheel Horse model. I do chose a model that will some how corespond with the year but not all the time.

2002 - 40th anniversary Lawn Ranger

2003 - 40th anniversary model 953

2005 - 40th annivesary of the hyrdostatic transmission models 875 and 1075

2006 - 60th anniversary of Wheel Horse model 1946 Pond Lever steer and 2006 315-8

2007 - 40th annivesary of the six speed models 1267, 1067 and 867

2008 - 40th anniversary of the 500 SPECIAL (a fun one to do)

2009 - 40th aniversary of the GT-14

The 2000 show had the RJ-57 and the 2003 was the Letter series Wheel Horse models. For 2010 a random choice of the 312-8 was made but not by me and the 2003 letter series was picked by the audiance at the meeting. We no longer have the audiance pick the featured model because every one in the crowd wants their tractor as the featured model ....... I hope you people under stand about this. For 2011 the C-195 was picked and for 2012 the 1968 Commando 8 will be the featured model.

What does being "featured" mean? I don't know what it meant this year or last year. Was there a special display that I missed? To me the featured tractor would be the most important one.........the raffle one! :D
