hcminis 1,555 #1 Posted June 10, 2010 Well, called about this today and might have to run and pick it up during lunch tomorrow. Talked to the guy for about 10 minutes. When he was 8 or 9 his dad made him mow a yard for an elderly lady. Well over a period of time he said she became a second grandma to him. One day she asked him to help clean out the second detached garage. He then uncovered the Ranger and said WOW! That is when the lady said..."oh that is the reason I wanted your help, I'm giving that to you". He said it has been through a couple moves one to KY and back but still in real nice condition. Thinks the original motor is still at his Dad's house in KY and was going to call and find out for sure. So, for $150.00 think I'll go do a little Horse Stealin....lol What do you all think? TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #2 Posted June 10, 2010 What do you all think? I think it's a 34E. I don't know about "stealing" it, but it is a decent price. :D

hcminis 1,555 #4 Posted June 10, 2010 Yup, think stealing wasn't the correct word to use. But, thought it was a fair price. Especially if he gets the original motor. He also mentioned the original tires are still on it which have the logo/lettering. The hood won't fit right now because his father put a P.O.S. engine in it. Said the muffler is in the way and didn't want to cut up the hood.
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #5 Posted June 10, 2010 It's nice (for a change) to see a hood that wasn't "swiss cheesed" or hacked to fit a bigger or different engine. That will be great if you can get the original engine too!
buckeye 5 #6 Posted June 10, 2010 Is that the original deck?
rthomp26 6 #7 Posted June 10, 2010 Looks like a nice one JR. My policy is any complete round hood I can get for 150 or less I'm in! They're not making any more! :D
dgoyette 12 #8 Posted June 10, 2010 Great deal for $150. Those round fender rangers are harder to find and that one looks very decent. I would take in a heartbeat for that price.

littleredrider 409 #10 Posted June 11, 2010 the hood and plate over the tranny tunnel is throwing me off. Not bad for $150, I'd buy it, but then the wif would be REALLY ticked at me...
rthomp26 6 #11 Posted June 11, 2010 Yeah I know all about that tickin the wife off thing. I'm pickin up another 400 tomorrow myself. Hopin maybe this one will be worth restoring. If not I'll be throwing some more parts on ebay like the last 2. Keep your fingers crossed for me. The nice thing is I'm accumulating a nice array of parts and implements! :D
