Wheel Horse Fan 3 #1 Posted June 9, 2010 What do you think would be the best front tire to use with a FEL? The tractor should be used strictly for FEL duty unless the C-175 goes down. I'm installing the 520 swept axle and the gear reduction steering. I was thinking at least a 4 ply, probably an AG or a ribbed tire?
rickv1957 72 #2 Posted June 9, 2010 I would think that about any tread pattern will work, the 4 ply would be nice for sure,I prefer the rib style on any new tires purchased Rick
Nick 13 #3 Posted June 9, 2010 It depends on the use but I think a good heavy 4 ply turf might be a good choice. I haven't tried either the ag or rib tire, just always assumed in a soft yard they might tend to cause more damage. Noticed on other sites people using a 4 or 6 ply vredestein multi-rib tire that looks like it would work well. I think the place they were using was http://www.tiresfromeurope.com
