whfan74 2,066 #1 Posted June 8, 2010 Sorry for the simple question but I have a friend wondering if a single stage snowblower with the small chute will fit on a 520 with a forward swept axle? Is there an extension needed like for the plow blades? Thanks in advance........
MalMac 1,331 #2 Posted June 8, 2010 I might be mistaken but I think there is some addaptor that is needed. I had checked into putting an old 42" single stage on my 520 with the swept front and a dealer had said something about an adaptor. I think its in the flag hook up area. whfan74 2,066 #3 Posted June 8, 2010 Thank you........that is what I was thinking as well. They are looking at the same style of blower as you are describing. I would hate for them to spend the money and then find out that it won't fit without having an adaptor to give proper clearance from the front tires.
jusjeepn 59 #4 Posted June 8, 2010 I put mine on the 520H with no problems at all. I fits perfectly. Its a late 60's model with an 80's model attach-a-matic mount bolted to it. No drilling required! Works great!
whfan74 2,066 #5 Posted June 9, 2010 Pat, Your 520-H has the forward swept axle? I don't want to spend someone elses money and regret it and end up buying a snowblower for myself that I don't need. The guy has a nice mid mount grader blade that I am trying to get as a package deal.
