scifi4all 6 #1 Posted June 5, 2010 I was at my local dealer and in his boneyard I saw this. I was just wondering if anyone has one or seen them? I did not have the chance to talk to the dealer about it, but it doesn't look to be in bad shape. I didn't see the mount that goes on the tractor, but if he is interested in getting rid of it I already have one for a chipper/shredder that I am rebuilding. Enjoy the Pics! Have a nice weekend! Sorry I should have resized the pics. I didn't realize my phone camera made them so large.
sawhorse 0 #2 Posted June 5, 2010 I have a roto-hoe sprayer which is nearly identical to the mackissic. My tank and pump are mounted on a trailer with a 4 horse briggs powering the pump. I have never seen that setup pictured there. A new Hypro 5330 twin piston pressure washer pump will cost you about $250. I looked into rebuilding mine but I don't have the tools or experience to do it. Fortunately mine works just fine. That would be a good project to adapt to wheel horse. You may be able to use pto power.
C-Series14 15 #3 Posted June 5, 2010 It looks like it would use the shredder mount for sure. Will be taking my shredder to the show this year I think.
yamahalic63 0 #4 Posted June 6, 2010 My dad has had one of these for years and it worked very well. Put a new pump on it and tank cracked , figures. I'll look and see if the mount is still around, I know I have everything else but the tank. The mount would be easy enough to make or have made.
GlenPettit 1,717 #5 Posted June 6, 2010 Check out the MacKissic web site, lots of good information and the manuals for your sprayer. The Company is extremely cooperative and helpful, and they are happy to talk with Wheel Horse Restorers. (read up info on site first). A similar today unit costs over $1,000 - quality, quality, quality. Good Luck,
scifi4all 6 #6 Posted June 6, 2010 GlenJeri, You are correct about them being helpful. I called them when I picked up my Chipper shredder. They sent out a manual imediately. No charge. I hadn't taken a look at their site about the sprayer. It is amazing how most of the parts match to the older equipment. The shredders have'nt changed much, except for the addition of the chipper. It would seem the new sprayers are not very different from the originals either. Thanks for the reminder that companies still exist that make a great product (Made to Last) and have great customer service as well! :D
