Fuel pump (part number)

Recommended Posts

NYRedNeck

Hello all,

:USA:

Can anyone tell me the part number for the fuel pump on a K241 Kohler motor. This is for my 1045.

I would like to search for one on ebay. Not sure if I should be searching by Wheel horse fuel pump, or Kohler K241 etc? I did a search by kohler and see many pumps but want to be sure I search and find the correct one. I also need the air cleaner assembly and a muffler if you can help with those as well. :D

Do you know the spec. number from your engine? That's the number that follows the K241.

This is the one that I got for my K241:

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Fuel-Pump-Kohler-K...=item19b77c5824

However, I got mine from NAPA and it was only $38.00

Had to order another 90 deg inlet since mine only came with one 90 and one straight.

Also, the inlet and output were reversed for my application, but that's an easy fix by turning the top of the pump 180 deg.

Hope that helps

Bob

What year is the Horse you purchased it for? It looks very different than the one that is on my 65 Horse. The original is a metal body pump, is that one a plastic body?

Heres a place that sells the kit to rebuild your kohler pump also.

http://www.maritimedragracing.com/antique_...arts_cellar.htm

Towards the bottom of the page where it says click here, you can email the guy or call him also.

I just happen to run onto it by luck one day while hunting an old car part for a friend.

Check this link for an OEM pump from Parts tree. http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=kohler_...9&dn=0209013121

That price :USA: makes the Napa pump look much better.

Sorry, but I am still abit confused. :D

This link looks more like my pump (H1) But it does not look like they sell a new one. Am I missing something?

Also, it is a metal body pump and not plastic. Not sure if they are all plastic now?

Are you trying to keep it (1) dead stock/original looking ..........or do you (2) not care if the aftermarket pump doesn't look like the original?

Toolman, thanks for the link.

I sent this guy and email and got an immediate response. So far it seems they do sell the rebuild kit for my pump.

Now that's service :D

My first choice would be of course to keep it original :D
