racinfool40 202 #1 Posted June 2, 2010 Ok I have my other 4 wheel horses sitting out in the drive doing some work in the garage and I hear a car beep. I look outside and their's an older lady sitting in her car. She says you have alot of red tractors would you be interested in another. I might be I said. she says follow me OK. I knew the lady lived right outside of town.I pull up to her barn and she goes go in the back and see if your interested in the red one. And low and behold the 867. She said her husband bought it new and he had passed on 4 yrs ago. Didn't have any kids I asked her what she wanted for it. she said how's a 100.00 dollars sound I said ok she said it hasn't ran since her husband passed. so me and my boy dug it out from the barn yesterday morning. So we drained & cleaned the tank cleaned carb put in a new battery and fired right up.runs awesome no smoke. so now I own 5 and lovin every minute of it. And Thanks for a great site :D

linen beige 14 #6 Posted June 2, 2010 While you're asking about paper work, etc. ask about any attachments the original owner may have had. Start a conversation with the lady about what kinds of things her late husband did with the 867 and she just might remember some good tools.
