brider 0 #1 Posted June 2, 2010 Charger 10 Model 1 0410 7 Serial 863483 I just bought the above model tractor. On the center tunnel cover plate, there is a slot with nothing in it, but a part of the hydro actuation mechanism is visible thru it, as if there should be a lever there to actuate part of the hydro control. Is this where a parking brake SHOULD be? Mine has none (that I can find), and I can't figure out how to hold position safely while hooking up a trailer. rickv1957 72 #3 Posted June 2, 2010 You should be able to locate good used parts to reinstall your brake, Rick
brider 0 #4 Posted June 2, 2010 So THAT'S the parking brake! I thought it was just an actuation lever for the drive system, I always just pushed it down so the drive would work, pulled it up to dis-engage the drive when stopped. Never used my brain to realize that I was actually setting a brake. So in the pic, it looks like the center slot is open like mine; what are the graphics regarding the slot? Mine has been re-painted and has no graphics. Thanks!
