Charger 10 parking brake?

Recommended Posts

Charger 10

Model 1 0410 7

Serial 863483

I just bought the above model tractor.

On the center tunnel cover plate, there is a slot with nothing in it, but a part of the hydro actuation mechanism is visible thru it, as if there should be a lever there to actuate part of the hydro control.

Is this where a parking brake SHOULD be? Mine has none (that I can find), and I can't figure out how to hold position safely while hooking up a trailer.

The parking brake is #7 in the picture.

You should be able to locate good used parts to reinstall your brake, :D Rick

So THAT'S the parking brake!

I thought it was just an actuation lever for the drive system, I always just pushed it down so the drive would work, pulled it up to dis-engage the drive when stopped. Never used my brain to realize that I was actually setting a brake.

So in the pic, it looks like the center slot is open like mine; what are the graphics regarding the slot? Mine has been re-painted and has no graphics.

Thanks!

That slot is so you can see the speed indicator. Read through this topic...

you can get a replacement decal instead of trying to letter it or get it screen printed.
