brider 0 #1 Posted June 2, 2010 Charger 10 Model 1 0410 7 Serial 863483 Just bought my first WH, the model above. When should the rear axle hydro oil level be checked? Hot or cold? Does it matter? Mine was low when cold. Also, what is the correct position of the relief valve? Mine has what looks like a pin inserted into the valve shaft so as to look like a horizontal "lever", and I can spin this lever all the way around. Where/ how/which direction should I adjust this lever/valve? I ask this because on my Cub Cadet, the tractor won't move unless one of these valves is released. My WH will roll by itself. Little_Red 0 #2 Posted June 2, 2010 i checked my book on checking the trans hot or cold and it doesnt say it does require 6 quarts of 10w 30 motor oil as for the relief valve it should be turned clockwise until tight

brider 0 #5 Posted June 2, 2010 Good heavens, I KNOW mine isn't turned down tight, and I've been driving it! ALSO, I ASSUMED Hydro fluid in the drive, I added about a pint of hydro fluid instead of 10w-30. Do you think I'll do any damage? I'm positive my CC has a Sundstrand hydro, and it takes dedicated hydro fluid (unless I've just been ripped off...)
