Kelly 1,029 #1 Posted May 31, 2010 It was raining here this afternoon so after a few days of busting my butt doing yard work, rebuilding the front wall of one of my sheds, and building new doors for it also, and a new coat of paint, installing a new screen door and entry door on the house, spread a dump truck load of crushed concrete in the drive to the barn, ect..... I came in to play on the computer, and checked CL a guy had a 520 with blower, deck, wheel weights and chains, but had a broken rod, so I called him, thinking it would be gone as it had been listed a for two days, yup still had it, he said he still mowed his yard with a couple times even with the broken rod said it took twice as long, but did it, and he has some very big long hills on his two+ acres, I asked if he would take less before I drove a hour to see it, yup need it gone, he bought a new one last night a Home Depot, so I loaded the family up and off we went on a road trip ( wife and kids likes going on horse hauls) looked it over, started it up, runs pretty good on one cyl. labors with the deck on, ( came with a few year old NEW deck and muledrive) nice tall chute blower, factory wheel weights, all the hub caps, tire chains, and he threw in a one year old weed wacker, he couldn't start, even after I offered him $200 less than he was asking, and he took it tractor is a little ruff has 741 hours on it, but has the forward swept axle with gear reduction steering all in nice shape, I like the hydro controls much better on this unit over my older 520, heck I've been hunting for a snowblower like this one for a year. I have a spare 20hp onan in the barn, I think will find a new home in this one. I'm glad it was raining today or I might have missed out on this killer deal Oh ya I picked up a 1257 the other day but it was not worth posting about, I got it for the engine and parts.
