MikesRJ 555 #1 Posted May 23, 2010 Does anyone own either a 1965 605 or 655 tractor? I ask because I found a manual but did not recall ever seeing anyone post about one or the other. I searched the boards and couldn't locate a single post concerning either.

Drydock 3 #6 Posted May 24, 2010 I have a 605. It currently has a 10 horse Tecumseh medium frame engine on it, use it to plow, disc and cultivate my garden. Got an L-156 Lawn Ranger for the yard. Are there questions you want to ask? Its a pretty straight forward 3 speed tractor, originaly with a pull start H60 Tecumseh belted to a 3 speed unidrive. Short frame square hood. 32" gear drive RD Quick-tach deck, with foot controlled belt tensioner pto.
Kelly 1,030 #7 Posted May 24, 2010 That is what my 655 has for a engine med. frame 10hp tucky, needs carb work but runs pretty good, tractor is ruff, but is usable.
MikesRJ 555 #8 Posted May 24, 2010 Seems fair to say then that these must be a pretty rare model then, or one that wore out quicker than most, seeing how we have a few thousand members and only a handful of machines out there.
eibbed 63 #9 Posted May 24, 2010 I've got a 655 that I'm parting out. If you need something, let me know. The motor and Ag tires are gone and I am keeping the transmission to replace the one in my 702. Thanks, Dave
hcminis 1,592 #10 Posted May 24, 2010 Mike I have a 655 but not the original motor or seat. Hood has also been replaced because someone wanted to cut the original one to pieces. Pics
puddlejumper 67 #11 Posted May 24, 2010 Looking at the post and the fact I know were 2 more are sitting not far from me. Both missing engines. They appear to be clustered a little further south than other models. :D
