noname09801 0 #1 Posted May 22, 2010 Unfortunately I have myself in another bind. My father stopped by to take a look at the 314-H today and his pant leg snagged the clutch release lever while the engine was running. Now the tractor will no longer go forward or reverse and the clutch release lever is extremely hard to pull. I looked behind the right rear tire and it looks like there is a pulley without a belt on it. The pulley looks to be in the center of a belt loop? Forgive me as I am not that slick with mechanical items. Any idea guys? Thank you in advance.
MikesRJ 552 #2 Posted May 22, 2010 PM sent. My guess would be Part ID #1, somewhere in the neighborhood of where Part ID #5 is depicted in the image below. This image may help:
TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #3 Posted May 23, 2010 This image may help too: You'll need to remove the right footrest and the drive belt guard and examine the belt disengagement/tensioner linkage and the springs (marked with red circles) for damage. Work the release lever up and down and look for obvious interference or misalignment.
