Wilsonrl48747 0 #1 Posted May 21, 2010 Picked up a C161 today for what I think is a steal. She is rough looking, but runs great. Its a hydrostatic with a 48 inch side discharge deck. Also got an extra rear wheel and tire thrown in. The deck is rough, some holes but patchable, spindles and pulleys look and sound fine. Got it all for $300 out the door. Pictures to come soon. This is my 4th WH, and I have to say, it has become addicting. You look at some of the ads and if they are a good price, its hard to resist picking them up. I might have to try the old shuffle trick pretty soon, moving them around so my wife doesn't catch on. She's pretty sharp though, so coming clean is usually the best option. Question though, the steering wheel is cracked around the center hub and is held together with hose clamps. Eventually I will get a OEM wheel for it, but I was wondering if I could get a cheap replacement at TSC for the time being. Will a non-OEM wheel fit the steering shaft? Wilsonrl48747 0 #3 Posted May 21, 2010 Rick, if I ever get the bug as bad as you seem to have it, maybe I can invite you to my funeral or my divorce. My wife is pretty cool, but I think she might take some serious action if I were to have as many as you have! :D
