Ark Loader

Recommended Posts

MalMac

I have an Ark Loader on my 78 C-141. The loader is of the same vintage. Can someone tell me if the bottom cutting edge was welded or bolted. Mine appears to have been welded but there are also holes in the bottom front edge of the bucket. Now these holes are not perfectly round. They look like someone blew the holes in with a torch. I can't say that I have ever seen an Ark Loader bucket new from factory. I don't think they had what I call scafier teeth in them. So I was just wondering what the holes were for. Anybody got a good picture of what they looked like from the factory?

I got a pic of mine in the gallery. 1979 C-161 8-Speed with a 1979 ARK 550 FEL. The bucket looks to be original. The cutting edge is welded on and no holes. Rick V might have a clean one in his collection...
