rmaynard 15,426 #2 Posted May 18, 2010 The wires from the stator connect to either AC lug on the rectifier. The other lug on the rectifier is B+ and is the output where the 14V DC comes from. The stator produces AC voltage which is non-polarized. Either stator wire can be connected to either AC lug. The B+ lug on the rectifier goes to the key switch. TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #5 Posted May 23, 2010 I believe the center terminal goes to the key Not always...... There were different terminal configurations and different manufactures, so the B+ terminal could actually be any one of the three. It might take some cleaning and maybe even a magnifying glass, but you should see "B+" stamped or cast near one of the terminals, and "A.C." near the other two.
