yankee495 0 #1 Posted May 18, 2010 I found a B-80 (almost the same as a 8 4 speed). It has no deck, good paint, new lug tires, 8 HP Kohler and needs a battery. It was used in small tractor pulls...they say transmission is good...all gears. They're asking $75. I am going to go look at it tomorrow. I ask about the deck mounts, lift lever etc...he said he don't know if it is on there...Been barned for over a year. Son out grew the little tractor pulls. What should I look for on a tractor used for pulls?
Don1977 604 #2 Posted May 18, 2010 It sound like a good price. Take a battery and some cables and try it out your self.

Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #4 Posted May 18, 2010 If its missing the deck mounting stuff its no big deal as they can be bought cheap and are bolt-on (no welding). The lift machanism is a bit tougher to replace if its been removed but definitly not impossible. Mike......

hodge 6 #9 Posted May 19, 2010 No doubt about it- I would scarf it up for $75. The B-80 is a wonderful machine, one of my favorites.
yankee495 0 #10 Posted May 19, 2010 My thoughts exactly. If it runs, good paint and lug tires..And an 8 HP Kohler that runs at all...well...a guy could part it out... But they already done some of that....I'd like to see it ready to mount a deck on etc... I'll have to see it...but the tires are worth that.
yankee495 0 #11 Posted June 2, 2010 I passed it up...old lady ya know...Now I kicking myself for letting it go. It had belly weights and all...Live and learn I guess. But they screwed with the governor and it RPM'd all to where it shouldn't go....so...
