Paul Murphy 0 #1 Posted May 18, 2010 I need some help from anyone. I am trying to get C-125 starting woes sorted out for my father who is 88 years young. He had problems this spring so I brought it home to attempt to work on it. I have a wiring schem. downloaded from Toro but as most know they are B/W pdf files. Color helps me alot. I cant get the Koh. 12hp to turn over unless I jump the solenoid. Put a new original switch, and solenoid on but still no luck. When it does turn over, there is NO fire at the points(gapped to .018-.020) or naturally the s/plug. I am lost.... There are some pics of the current condtion, please note the bypassed seat interlock and clutch interlock wires.
MikesRJ 552 #2 Posted May 18, 2010 :D Colors may not do you any good. WH never stuck to the same color coding consistently. I would suggest you trace your wiring by-hand and annotate your manual. Also, the following link may help you, or at least give you another copy. C-125 Owners Manual

rmaynard 15,535 #4 Posted May 19, 2010 If no one has said it already. Nice to have you aboard. If you don't mind saying, where are you from? Bob
Helmer 0 #5 Posted May 19, 2010 I had a similar problem on my C-101. Turned out the wires connected thru the ammeter were loose. Once I fixed te connections all was well. Your problem may be elsewhere but I figured I'd tell you anyway. Good luck.
Paul Murphy 0 #6 Posted May 22, 2010 Thanks for all the help guys. Any hints when your working "blind" is a great help. Did find a small hairline crack in the plastic or phenolic portion of the breaker points. That can't be good.Looks like I need to start some detailed wire tracing. BTW Mr. Bob, I'm located in a little place called Wedowee, Alabama. In the shadows of Mt. Cheaha. Real rural, real quiet, real pretty, and really the way I like it. Thanks for the "Welcome" :D
