stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #2 Posted May 7, 2010 Rick, The beaver tracror was made in Stratford, CT by Baird Company. Not sure what the years of production were however I believe llate 40's into the 60's. Many were lever steer and a very basic tractor. Jeff (wheelhorse85 here) just bought 4 of these and he has u tube videos of them jusgt recently (1-2 weeks ago). It is very rare to find one that is complete as the hoods were fiberglass (I think). Did you find one??

pond195520032003 27 #6 Posted May 7, 2010 yes, my brother had one that was stick steer(1949) had the wrong engine! you could not walk as slow as it drove(because of the 2hp kick start briggs) :D
VinsRJ 721 #7 Posted May 7, 2010 Stevebo is right on, you need to get in contact with Jeff. He's got a bunch of them and he knows of a guy that has a number of original attachements. I found a tiller steer Beaver (down your way Steve) which Jeff was able to purchase. PM me and I will give you Jeff's number, he doesn't come on the site very much. DoctorHfuhruhurr 137 #8 Posted May 7, 2010 There's been one for sale for a few weeks in the Western Mass. Craigslist for $700. Kinda high in my opinion.

Jim_M 178 #11 Posted May 8, 2010 Not until sometime in the mid 50's. I'm pretty sure 1955 was the first year for a hood.
