Gene_S 93 #1 Posted May 6, 2010 At the Mentone swap meet another RS member had this tractor there for sale, I just had to have it. I've looked at a couple other 1045 and I really like this model. I've done a couple small thing since I got it this past monday but nothing major. The motor purrs like a kitten! Now I just need to land some front tires... Thanks for looking! Steering is a touch loose and for some reason the front tires arnt straight with each other. Looks like different tie rods had been installed.

Bell, Can you post a photo of the original front tires please? Would love to see what they look like the thread as well as the sidewalls. When I purchsed my 1045, it came with another set, just wondering if they were the originals. Thanks
rjr 0 #17 Posted May 19, 2010 I have one of those sitting in my garage (wife is not happy as this is my 3rd). It's from my Father. The one I mowed the grass down to the dirt with when I was 13 and it was new. I have a long way to go to bring it back. Starting with the motor. Dad replaced the Kohler 10 HP with a Tecumseh 8HP and cut a hole in the hood.
Gene_S 93 #18 Posted May 20, 2010 Bob, not sure who grant is... You might have me mixed up with him... rjr, the hood isn't a big deal. I passed on a 10hp motor at Portland that was $45... Needed rebuilt. NYRedNeck, here is what the tires are supposed to look like http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1218
