dgoyette 12 #30 Posted May 12, 2010 Thanks for all the comments guys. Yesterday I noticed that this B-80 has the 1 1/8 inch axles. I was actually surprised by this as for some reason I was assuming it would have the 1". Does anyone know if this was just on the 8 speeds or did the B-80's all have 1 1/8. Was also wondering if this might mean I have 8 pinions? Thanks for any thoughts or input.
rickv1957 72 #31 Posted May 12, 2010 I think some of the 8 speeds were 4 pinion,Rick
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #32 Posted May 13, 2010 The B-80 8 speeds use the same 103907 8 pinion 8 speed as the C series tractors of the same year. ('76 & '77) Even the B-60 models had the heavy Uni-Drive rear.
dgoyette 12 #33 Posted May 13, 2010 Great thanks very much for the info - I love that B-80 even just a bit more than I did a day ago. I am also thinking of putting C series headlights in it. On one hand I would like to keep it original. On the other hand I really like headlights though. And I guess putting back to original is pretty easy.
