First is the Double D - 3/4" spindles with flat sides machined on both ends.

These came in my 75-48MSO1 mower base. they were also used in the 42' base.

Here is parts list and diagram.

The second is the 3/4" spindles with the keyed pulley these are grease able with the grease fitting on top. Here is a parts list and diagram.

The third is the metric spindle with out the key way that is grease able.

This one uses a 6203-2RS that is the the same as an old Chevy alternator bearing.

I just remove the enter seal when I install them.

These part numbers may have changed. If some one has newer number please post them. If you have spindle information on the older geared bases please post it here.

The 36" base used a spindle with the bearings already pressed in place. If some one could supply this information. It's mowing season and maybe we can answer a lot of

question on mower bases here.

I am working from memory, but I am 98.5% sure the upper bearing for the first type is the following:

The lower bearing (or something usable) is available from small parts

Quite often the spindles on a deck are not the same as the original.

See if you can match up your spindles with one of the above.

Note there is on further type, that uses a sealed bearing/spindle assembly the needs to be pressed out/in

:D :omg:
