If it's the same as a 312-8, it's on top of the fender to the left of the seat.

Zach, the model jumber should be very close to 21-10K806 (the last digit is the year of manufacture, in this case 1989, but the machines are pretty consistent across the years). The model number and serial number were printed on a decal located on top of the rear fender pan just to the left of the seat. With age, many are either gone or unreadable.

Did it come with an engine?

If you can post all of the numbers off of the engine tag, we can probably get you real close. (out of 10 possible models)

If it has a K-241 Kohler engine instead of an M10 Magnum, that narrows it down to three choices. (two model years)

im not real sure if its the original motor or not but it has a k241s the spec number is 46863 and the engine serial number is 1600645044

Although I have no idea what the difference is between the two models, your 310 is one of two possible 1986 models.

The model number would be either 21-10K802 or 21-10K803.
