Gene_S 93 #1 Posted April 23, 2010 Thursday on my way to Indy I stopped at the Strawtown Flee Market they have every week only on Thursday. I walked around and looked at the normal stuff and then I seen this jem... It was a 6hp Tecumseh motor... I restored my 500 Special last summer and have been meening to rebuild the motor I have for it. It seems like all the motors I find are worn out or blown. This motor runs darn good. I went and picked up a new drive belt at my local Toro store and installed the motor and the proper gas tank and throttle / choke bracket. I was so excited to drive it, I'll paint the motor later. sorekiwi 761 #11 Posted April 24, 2010 Good eyes Mike... Not really, when you said that Tucky ran well, I immediately wondered why the carb wasnt irreversably gummed up, and that got me looking. Also I changed out the filters on 3 of my tractors today, so its kinda on my mind. I like that motor in black! You sure you want to paint it?
