Heath,

There has been a lot of discussion on here about decal removal. If you do a search, I know will find some of the suggestions.

I use a hair dryer to soften the vinyl and the adhesive. Once I get a loose end, I slowly pull it off. I don't think you will ever be able to get a complete decal off without damaging the decal, but the plastic should hold up to things such as mineral spirits. Many products like Goo Gone have other chemicals that may hurt plastic. Read the directions before using to be sure it won't do damage.

There is a product from 3M that has been discussed, but I can't remember the name. I'm sure someone will chime in here and give you more suggestions.

Bob

there not worth saving. And the fiberglass is real dry and brittle. I need to reseal hood. PO had repainted an got paint on decals. I tried the hairdryer last night and helped some but it just comes off in little tiny pieces.

I never thought that a previous job as a laminator would ever come to good use until now
