snappin turtle mower 1955?

just picked up on 4/17/10 a 1955? snappin turtle self propelled push mower! has a wisconsin engine and a drive wheel assembly. has the hard to find turtle head on

it. engine needs work but i bought another one to replace it! (same model/type).

just something different :omg:

Those mowers are soooo cool. There was one in the last issue of LAGC. And I saw one listed on CL several weeks back - might be the one you bought. Nice find! :omg:

have seen these at shows and also they built a rider whitch would be neat to have :omg:

when i was a kid my dad work for a cemetary and they used those there,they had the rider a 4 of the push mowers and if im not mistaken 2 of them were bigger than that 1,brings back memorys thanks for showing

Thats funny You put up pics of that because i just found one of them last sat at the local power equip dealer they took it in as a trade. It did not have the orig engine on it but over all good shape, i asked if they would sell it but they are going to hold on to it.

i would'nt mind keeping it, but just ran accross another D-200 with pto, 3pt, and turning brakes + rear finish mower, tiller, and snow blade(picking it up this saturday) :omg: also will be picking up i believe a suburban 401? sunday. i think i need :D :D

Sold the snappin turtle :D but look on the bright side, i replaced it with another D-200 that has turning brakes, rear pto, 3pt hitch and came with 3pt tiller a rough rear finish mower and snow/dozer blade :D:wh: i know, will post pics after work :USA:
