mavfreak 11 #1 Posted April 22, 2010 So I happened upon two postings on the for bulletin board at the corner store the other day. Someone is selling 2 horses. I was no the way to pick up my c161 so I really couldn't afford any more. Pictures looked great. Anyway I kinda didn't think much of them until today. I drove home a different rout and came in the back way to my house and BAM there are the 2 horses sitting in the front yard of my neighbor about 1/4 mile from my house. Wow I didn't know anyone else in my town had any. I couldn't stop to look cause my daughter was ready to be done with the car but I intend to go back and introduce myself, not to buy but to admire and maybe see if it anyone that is on this sight. I don't believe so but hey you never know. Maybe I'll see if he'll let me get some pictures for you all to see they really look nice. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Kelly 1,029 #8 Posted April 23, 2010 The first one looks to be a 8hp or other small kohler with maybe a replacment engine as it is gray, has the wrong hood decals, so a guess is 855, 856, 857, or maybe a comando 8 but it looks to have the narrow fenders, the next picture looks to be a B-80 (could be a B-60 but they where pull start) also with a 8hp kohler just newer tractor, but older than 78 in 78 they changed the dash tower and put the gas tank under the seat and called them C-81's Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Retired Wrencher 5,440 #10 Posted April 24, 2010 :omg: I think Kelly is on to something it could be a bad copy of a commando it is not a 857 steering Wheel is wrong decals are wrong seat is not write. if the belt cover has a sun ray = 3 lines go on a down slope it is later than a 66 if it does it a 67/68. 66 just had a round indent on top side.
