On plate under steering wheel. It is real easy though, it is a 1978-1979 C-161 with the B&S Twin because of the fiberglass hood...

Really cause I was second guessing my purchess. I'm not fond of the black hoods and really want a early C-searis. But price was right on this so I picked it up.

Well, the "blackhood" you have is different from the 1980-1984 models. It is rare! Also, headlight lenses is unique to that hood. I restored mine many years ago and then used it all winter plowing snow and hauled it on an open trailer...big mistake. Rusted all over. Need to tear it back down to the frame...
