DMK855 15 #1 Posted April 16, 2010 I just bought a 607 today site unseen from my friends dad in Pa.!! All he could tell me is that it is pull start, starts easy, runs great, and has 607 on the hood!?!?! Comes with a plow and tire chains. I know the are Tech. motors but nothing else. Would it make a decent little tractor to use around the yard?? Also, does anyone have decent pics of one?? This makes my Pa. trip in June feel like it is years away!! I now have 4 tractors to pick up!! Told the wife that there is no sense in leaving wasted space on the trailer!! :D
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #2 Posted April 16, 2010 607's are pretty scarce - since most consumers liked to turn a key more than they liked to pull a rope. Here's a pic of a 657 from the gallery: Take away the electric starter and battery and change the "5" to a "0" on the hood decals and it's a 607. (more or less) It should be a good little machine for around the yard. :omg:
jimt1971 237 #3 Posted April 16, 2010 Hi, That is my 657 and since that pic was taken we have painted the hood and rear fender. That tractor is used every week to mow my lawn. It is a great little tractor. Jim
Polaris2007 4 #4 Posted April 17, 2010 I just aquired this 607 a few weeks ago. I put a carb kit in it and it started right up after sitting for a decade or more. I plan to start tearing it down tomorrow for a complete restoration. Here is a video of my son driving it after we got it running: Here is a picture..... DMK855 15 #6 Posted April 18, 2010 TT and Polaris, thanks for the pics. I hope it is in as good of condition as those two!! Hoping to get my mom to email me some pics of it when it gets moved over to her place. If not, I will find out in a couple of months!! Now just hopefully there is not anything I just can't live without at the SHOW because I won't have any room!!!

dandan111 31 #8 Posted April 18, 2010 I grew up with a 607 my dad bought new. We took it to tractor pulls and mowed and plowed snow every year. We took care of all the neiborhood for snow plowing. My brother did blow it up once in the 1980s holding the governor wide open during a pull. Dad put a new short block on it and it has been running ever since.
