Wheel Horse Fan 3 #1 Posted April 16, 2010 Ok maybe not my first, the 416-8 was my first. Got a C-175, 42" RD deck, Blade and Cultivator. I have no use for the blade (already have a nice one) or the cultivator, but they will help offset the clean-up, repair cost of the C and the deck. I plan to rip it down clean it up and do a spray can paint job. Now I have to figure out which one becomes the loader tractor and which one becomes the mower/plow tractor. Any idea where the model # can be found on the C-175? Couldn't find it myself. I think it's an '80. I have to find remove some crud to fine the tranny model #. The twin is a KT17S 24125A. The rear pan is shot and it needs a seat. Got my eye on a couple of newer metal ones. I knew I couldn't make this post without pics. It was getting dark but I still gottem. Just because it was out. Hasn't had it's spring cleaning yet. Grass is growing real early here.

Buzz 502 #3 Posted April 16, 2010 The KT17S-24125A was used on the 1980 8 speed (model # 01-17K801) and the 1980 automatic (model # 01-17KE01) . Toro also says that engine is used on the 1981 automatic using the same model number but the 1981 8 speed used a different engine spec number . My guesstimate is that it's a 1980. jpmcleod 4 #7 Posted April 16, 2010 Kinda looks like the C-175 I am to pick up this week end. I have a C-175 already and I put a 312-8 seat pan/fender on it. All the bolt holes lined up. Hope to take photos of the two I am getting this weekend, maybe, if the owner gets out of the hospital. Good luck with the resrore. Wish I lived close enough the buy the scrape blade but shipping it to Florida would cost a fortune.
Wheel Horse Fan 3 #9 Posted April 16, 2010 Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty sure it's an '80 as well. The trans should help identify which year it is as well. The one blank panel that sits below the gauge/steering/throttle panel is missing and I'm wondering if the ID tag was on that panel. I will take another look this morning when I go out to the shed. CasualObserver 3,408 #11 Posted April 16, 2010 Nice bunch of equipment, and good thinking on selling the things you don't want or need to offset other costs. I would suggest when you sell that cultivator, you should take off the Brinly HH-180 Slot to Sleeve Hitch Adapter and sell it separately. The cultivator will easily be snatched up by any brand collector, as Brinly was/is a common among them all. That adapter however will only be sought after by Jacobsen and Wheel Horse collectors. I'm sure there are several people here who would love to get their hands on it! :omg:
