mowerman1193 32 #28 Posted April 15, 2010 Well in that case I would say you will need to get the dial-a-height parts and install that on the tractor..I had to do that on one of my tractors..You will either need to trim your lower dash and shift plate or find a factory one that is already trimmed for the dial-a- height.. wh500special 2,160 #29 Posted April 18, 2010 Why would you prefer an 8-speed with a FEL? Not enough hands. On a manual transmission tractor your feet can control the stop/go motion of the tractor while you steer with one hand and run the loader hydraulics with the other hand. On a hydro - unless you've equipped it with a foot control - you can stop with the brake pedal, but you can't resume motion w/o putting a hand on the DCL. I don't currently have a loader, so don't have a horse in that race. i prefer the hydro for everything but tilling since the tiller seems to push my tractors since my ground is so hard.
