312-8 Brake Question

Hey guys what keeps the pedal from going back to far to the driver? Is there a stop somewhere Im missing?

On my tractors, C series and 300 series, the brake pedal stops against the

inner front corner of the foot rest. I had to bend one of them back straight ,

it was bent down far enough to let the pedal slip back.

Rick's right - the footrest stops the brake pedal from coming too far back on all of my 312-8's. There's not a lot of material doing the holding, so be sure you slide the footrest as close in to the tractor as you can before tightening it up.

you guys was right on about the brake resting on the footrest!!...My footrest was also bent from the pedal..What a poor design!...So I have went and installed a stop under a bolt on the left side under the shifter plate. Now it catches the pedal before it hits the footrest! its simple and works great! Thanks for the help guys

here the brake mod I did guys ....it was really just finding some ole parts in the bolt bin and making something work...

See the eye bolt under the bolt,,,i just put it in the vice and bent a 90 deg on it and placed it under the bolt.....now the pedal rest in perfect position
