newbluerider1 0 #1 Posted April 7, 2010 I picked up a mid 50's wheel horse, I believe it is a 56 rj. Are there any specific details that would correctly identify this tractor. The front of the axle has 2 one inch stops for the axle. The muffler comes out the right side of the engine and does not go to the front. There is no stop for the for the lift link. I have pictures but can't get them loaded. I would love to post them if my puter would let me. I can email them to somebody if that would help. Thanks for your help in advance. BPjunk 184 #5 Posted April 8, 2010 A quick guide to see if your new found Wheel Horse is a 1956 model RJ and that is .... if the frame is a peice of stamed steel as apposed to a peice of channel iron then the tractor is a 1956 model. The 1955 and 1957 model frames were channel iron. Wild Bill

newbluerider1 0 #12 Posted April 8, 2010 thank you guys for all your info, i am looking to get rid of it to someone who would redo it and make it look new again. I have a raider that i am modifying into a hycrop tractor for my garden, and just don't have the time for this one. My snowmobile takes more of my time then tractors do at the moment
