Finally made the road trip!!

I finally drove 300 miles to get this stuff I traded for in December. Can someone id the motor series 1 or 2. The serial number is 9825599. It seems to run and drive fine. I could have used the blower last winter but o well it looks like it,s in good shape. :D:omg:

Should be a Series I if it is original. I think the Series II were never put in the C-175, I am sure others might know for sure. Both my 1981 and 1984 were Series I's....

I could be wrong but I think the series 2 had a screw on oil filter I know the ones didn't.

Its a series 1.

And I don't know if the series 2 had an oil filter or not. Its just a full presured system. You can go the the links section here and click on kohler engine web site make selection and see a good picture of 1 and 2 oil system. Doesn't mention about a filter. :omg:
