This is a picture sent to my phone from a guy i know, who told me a hundred bucks takes it......but i can't read whats on that belt guard.....any thoughts?

I'm hoping for 856 not 656 sorry tecumseh.....but i only mess with the kohlers..

Looks like a belt cover on top. That says Kohler to me.

OK i don't have a recent picture of it but it was a 856 i had him read to me the belt gaurd over the phone and he said it was a kohler engine on the unit....

now i need the time to go pick it up, and store it till the restore job comes a callin...........yes another kohler. and some faded red paint. :omg:

spring tune-ups are killing me!!!

Always keep in mind that a 6hp unit will have the 6 x 12 rear rims and a 8hp unit will have the 8.50 x 12 rims.
