dodge78 90 #1 Posted April 2, 2010 I don't know a lot about boats ( 4 out of 5 boats sink after I board ), but I came across something that got me wondering. On the bottom of page 4: http://www.teleflexmarine.com/library/mari...ard-BayStar.pdf This is 21 inches wide which is the correct width for the steering knuckles. How much of a stroke would one of these have? I am guessing around 7-8 inches. Would it be possible to shorten this stroke by filling the cylinder with something? A piece of pipe slid over the rod?
