persof 14 #1 Posted March 31, 2010 I want to make a generator attachment for my 312-8 and I have some ideas on what to do but I would like to look at some detailed photos of a stock Wheel Horse setup first. And will also gladly look at your setup. Look at this link. http://www.vmisales.com/voltmaster_beltdriven/ab50.html Thanks Francis
Sparky-(Admin) 21,612 #2 Posted March 31, 2010 Heres a thread about my 4000 watt Generac unit mounted up to one of my Wheel Horse's. Theres a big knob like on a deck mule drive that I use to move the unit forward to put tension on the belt. The knob is under the power head, Mike........ http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?...12&hl=generator

Wilsonrl48747 0 #4 Posted April 16, 2010 I found a generator on Criagslist that hooks into the mule drive tach a matic on the front. Have to remove the mule drive first, but it slides right in. I have a picture of it in a previous post, and I can take some more pictures if you are interested in seeing how they made the platform. The weight of the generator keeps tension on the belt. Pretty simple design and it works great. Had to use it once this winter to keep the basement from flooding when we were out of power. Wilsonrl48747 0 #5 Posted April 21, 2010 I took some pictures of the mounting plate for my generator tonight so you could see how this one hooks up and was made.
Curmudgeon 28 #6 Posted April 25, 2010 I used to have one, here are a couple of pictures: It hooked into the front and mid hitches, the generator was bolted to a tilting part of the frame. Lift the generator up, put belt on, and let the weight of the generator hold the tension on the belt.
