Lane Ranger 10,943 #13 Posted March 30, 2010 Thanks all- I knew you would enjoy seeing this heard together! My brother David keeps asking me if anyone else has more horses (we have heard from a few guys that do -but they are not on Red Square). If you look close in the back of the 1054's all but one has a homemade drawbar hitch with a ball, clevis and hole for a pin hitch-up plus the lift/slot hitch that is used with the hydraulic lift making it a very flexible use tractor for lots of different tasks. This is one of the reasons the 1054 was such a great tractor for 1964 (introduced as the 953 the year before and demand far exceeded supply). Photo of the same tractor with a non-leaking transmission! We are currently working on one of the screw turn logsplitters that we have welded to an old 1054 wheel hub that we plan on testing out later this year on some old trees we have mellowing in the wood pile.
